Details

Originalprägungen zählen zu den ganz grossen Raritäten. Obschon die Auflage angeblich nur 1174 Exemplare betragen hatte, sind bis heute nur noch 4-5 Stücke bekannt.
Es ist davon auszugehen, dass entweder die Auflagezahl wesentlich kleiner war oder dass praktisch alle Stücke wieder eingeschmolzen wurden.
Exemplar aus Auktion Baldwins Nr. 54, Lot 989, sowie ursprünglich aus einer Preisliste von A. Kosoff aus New York (alte Papiertüte beiliegend).

Original strikes belong to the very top rarities. Although the mintage is said to have been only 1174 coins, only 4-5 pieces are still known today. It can be assumed that either the mintage was much lower or that practically all pieces were melted again. From Baldwins auction no. 54, lot 989, and originally from a price list of A. Kosoff from New York (old paper bag enclosed).
