Facing bust of Prince Vladimir with crown, cross and richly decorated robe, cathedral in background. Rv. View of the cathedral. 68.70 mm. Diakov 1170.1 (R3). Very rare. Extremely fine. Nice toning.

The cathedral was built to commemorate the 900-year celebration of the baptism of the Kievan Rus. The cathedral was completed in 1882, but the paintings adorning the church were finished only in 1896.
