Ths type was minted within a time period of only 10 weeks, sice Januar 27th, after the fall of the Lekapenoi and before the elevation of Romanus II to co-emperor.

Rev. +COnSTAnTInOS CЄ ROMAn Єn XW b R Standing figure of Constantinus VII on r. in loros and Romanus II on l. in chlamys. Both are crowned and holding globus cruciger, as well as a long patriarchal cross in the middle.

Sear prefers Cecile Morrison´s view that the Romanus depicted on this issue is Romanus II.
