Later such planchets were re-edged before being struck. This coin shows that these attempts failed, because the previous edge considerably remained. The failure could explane the extreme rarity of these coins. This very piece is most valuable to collectors, because a considerable part of the edge of poltina of Anna Ioannovna is very clear and visible on about 20% of the whole edge of the coin.
