Muhammad Ali Shah, 1324-1327 AH (1907-1909). Silver Medal 1326 AH (1908/1909), Silver medal for loyalty. Unsigned. Bust of Shah floating above an assemblage of arms. Rv. Fierce-looking lion brandishing a sabre poised on a ribbon, date 1326 above, and above this a rising sun within a wreath with the Qajar crown. 48.5 mm. PCGS Genuine VF Detail. This medal was probably awarded to loyal soldiers. It was produced at the time of the siege of the Iranian parliament, majlis, and is a relic of the “first Iranian spring” which took place immediately after, followed by the Young Turkish revolution in Constantinople.
