The Queen, holding orb and sceptre, leads a procession beneath a canopy supported by courtiers. In exergue: CROWN'D JUNE 28 1838. Plain edge. 61.8 mm. Eimer 1311. BHM 1803. Selten / Rare. Vorzüglich-FDC / About Uncirculated. Mattiert. Mit Henkel und rot-blauem Band / Matte finish. With looped scroll and ring suspender and red and blue ribbon.

The coronation of Victoria as Queen of the United Kingdom took place on Thursday, 28 June 1838, just over a year after she succeeded to the throne of the United Kingdom at the age of 18. The ceremony was held in Westminster Abbey after a public procession through the streets from Buckingham Palace, to which the Queen returned later as part of a second procession.
Special presentation silver medal with the red leather case of issue, Royal Arms gilt on lid, and adapted to take the medal with its mount.
