The visit of the Allied rulers to England took place in June 1814 to celebrate peace following the defeat of France and the abdication of Napoleon Bonaparte in April 1814. The rulers and generals of the Allies (Austria, Prussia, Russia, Sweden, the United Kingdom and a number of German states) took part in a state visit and various peace celebrations in London before travelling on to the Congress of Vienna later in the year. It is sometimes referred to as the Congress of London, although most of the diplomatic talks were postponed until Vienna.
