This medal is beautifully executed. It is without date which in this case is perhaps irrelevant as it does not record any particular event. This piece is described in the list of medals by Roettier (Stuart Papers, Windsor), but it is not stated why it was struck. It is probable that it was intended for distribution as presents by the King.
