Najaf-Qoli Khan Bakhtiari was a prominent Persian tribal leader and military commander during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Known for his strategic prowess and leadership skills, he played a significant role in the constitutional revolution of Persia between 1905 and 1911, advocating for democratic reforms and the limitation of royal power. Bakhtiari's influence extended beyond military might, as he also engaged twice as Prime Minister in diplomatic efforts to shape Persia's political landscape. This Medal was presumably struck as a commemoration of his capture of Isfahan in 1326 AH (1908).
