Empire of Persia, 1935-1979 Commemorative Medal

Commemorative Medal. Gold medal (Gold) 28.26 g. On the Occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Reign of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar (1831-1896, reigning since 1848). In the weight of 10 Tomans. 1st issue 1313 AH (1895/1896 AD). Not intended to be worn. BWK9 32. Of the highest rarity. NGC MS62.

This medal was instituted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reign of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. It was issued in gold of 10 Tomans and of 5 Tomans, in silver and in bronze. However, after his assassination on May 1, 1896, this medal was recalled. Therefore, it is of highest rarity.
