Order of the Sun and the Lion [Nishan-i-Schir-u-Khorschid]. 3rd model (1848-1939), division for civil and foreign persons (with resting lion), probably 6th-grade (Yawèr), 1st-class (for Iranians) resp. 4th-class decoration (for foreigners), 2nd edition (five-ray neck badge with surmounting agraffe), neck badge with diamonds, Iranian manufacturing, diam. 60.7 mm, silver, centre with gold ring, enamels and enamel painting, set with about 204 diamond roses and shards of various size (checked!), two missing, and 15 emeralds (checked!), 58.1 g, without neck ribbon.
