Silver coinage. Pattern for 1 Qiran n.d. (1828 AD) in tin, by W. Bain in London. European style coat of arms held by a lion and a basilisc, below on a ribbon the device asad - allâh - al-ghâlib, rev. name and title. BMC O 542; Rabino, Album pl. 22.573; Rabino, Coins p. 65 with reference to the BM specimens; cf. Kian coll. 1-3 in gold and silver. 5.04 g. Very rare in this metal. Uncirculated.
