ATTICA. Athens. Tetradrachm c. 430-420 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rv. ΑΘΕ Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. 16.82 g. Kroll 8. Svoronos, Monnaies, pls. 16-17 passim. Nicely toned. Slightly rough. Good very fine. (~€ 700/USD 810) From an old Swiss collection, formed in the mid 20th century, most likely acquired from Dr. H.
