MACEDONIAN EMPIRE. Philip II, 359-336. Tetradrachm c. 323/2-316/5 BC, Amphipolis. Struck by Antipater, Polyperchon, or Kassander. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rv. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm branch and reins, riding horse to right; below horse, monogram of AV and grape 14.33 g. Le Rider pl. 44, 8 (same dies). SNG ANS 580 (same reverse die). Good very fine. (~€ 440/USD 505) From an old Swiss collection, formed in the mid 20th century, most likely acquired from Dr. H.
