The 100 and 50 dinar issues below commemorate the anniversary of Ben Alis ascent to power in the Tunisian Republic on 7 November 1987ce. On that date, he retired the aging Bourguiba from his office in order to become the second president of the Republic. Such commemoratives were issued every year in very small mintages. All of the gold coins listed below are extremely rare.
