Details

In 1786 the convent chapter passed a resolution ordering the purchase of 21 convent crosses. These were delivered in 1787, the purchase price being paid by the individual canons. The ornamentation with diamonds, as on this specimen must have been made by special order of a certain canon. The decoration with diamonds is not mentioned in the archives, nor in any specimen noted in the literature. It was probably the property of the Prior.
