Victoria, 1837-1901 5 Pounds 1839. Una and the Lion. Head of the young queen with two fillets. Rev. The queen as Una walking to l. with sceptre and orb, guiding the British lion. In the exergue the Roman date and the medallist's signature W.WYON for William Wyon. Edge inscription: DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI TERTIO *. 39.26 g. Seaby 3851. Schl. 148. Fr. 386. Very rare, only 400 specimens struck. Proof. Brilliant uncirculated (NGC PF61 Ultra Cameo). Considered to be the most beautiful British coin.
