Double struck clearly visible on both sides but having no negative effect on the most splendid outstanding appearance of this rarest coin and making it even more interesting and attractive so!! Eminent provenance! Cabinet piece. Choice prooflike uncirculated with beautiful grey-brown patina.

Ex auction Hess/Leu 27, Lucerne, 14-16. 10. 1964, lot 1521. A small tag of paper from that auction with the lot number, `RRR and 50 r(oubles acc. to Iljin)(in Russian) is enclosed hereto. The coins in that sale originated from the Virgil Brand collection.

The one and only coin in the whole series of big russian-polish circulating coins of both 1 ½ Roubles 10 Zlotych and ¾ Roubles - 5 Zlot struck either in St. Petersburg and in Warsaw having the very top possible rarity of R4 according to Bitkin!! Not in the famous `Russian Coins from 19th and 20th Centuries. Collection of Duplicates from Russian Museums, Adolph Hess auction 204, 18th of February 1931!
