Romanus III, 1028-1034. Histamenon nomisma (solidus) 1028/1034, Constantinopolis. Obv. Christ enthroned facing, wearing cross nimbus, pallium, and colobium. He raises his r. hand in benediction and holds book of Gospels in l. hand. Rev. Romanus on l., wearing saccos and loros, holding globus cruciger in l. hand and being crowned by Virgin wearing pallium and maphorium. M - Θ 4.37 g. Sear 1815. DOC 2. Small planchet fault. Very fine.
