Basil I the Macedonian, 867-886, with Constantinus. Solidus 868/879, Constantinopolis. Obv. Figure of Christ enthroned to front with cross nimbus, pallium and colobium. He raises his r. hand in benediction and holds the book of Gospels in l. hand. Rev. Crowned bust of Basil I in loros facing on l. Crowned bust of Constantinus in chlamys on r. facing.
