SICILY. Syracuse. Philistis, wife of Hieron II. 275-215. 16 Litrai - Tetradrachm c. 240-218/5 BC. Diademed and veiled head of Philistis to left; behind, grain ear. Rv. ΒΑΣΙΛΙΣΣΑΣ - ΦΙΛΙΣΤΙΔΟΣ Nike, holding reins in both hands, driving slow quadriga to right; to right, ΚΙΣ; below, grain ear. 13.49 g. BAR Issue 65. CCO - (D18/R48). Nicely toned.
