KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachus, 323-281. Gold stater 323/281, Pergamon (?). Obv. Diademed head right of deified Alexander with horn of Ammon to r. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΛΧΟΥ Athena Nikephoros enthroned to l., holding Nike in her extended right hand, resting left elbow on shield; monogram on left. 8.51 g. Apparently unpublished. See Auction Goldberg, May 24, 2009, lot 1644. Extremely rare. Of the finest style by a master die cutter. Petite cabinet piece. Brilliant uncirculated.
